The International Land Coalition (ILC), hosted its Asia Land Forum on 2 and 3 October at the Imperial Garden Villa and Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was co-organized by ILC Asia, the Asian NGO Coalition for Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (ANGOC), and STAR Kampuchea; and supported by the GROW Campaign and Oxfam.
Our Land Forum is an annual gathering of our member organizations and key partners in civil society, academia, government, and the private sector to discuss various issues surrounding access to land.
In 2011, our theme was Democratizing Governance on Land towards Enhanced Access of the Poor to Land and Common Property Resources. ILC members, partners, and stakeholders from different civil society organizations, international NGOs, organized movements, academic institutions, and governments gathered in Phnom Penh to discuss various aspects of land governance through presentations, small group discussions, and plenary discussions.
